Joseph Byford has a strong reputation in and around Brisbane as a reliable, in-demand professional.
Early in my career, while completing a photography degree at Griffith University, I gained practical experience by taking on as many commercial and creative assignments as possible, eventually building a small but loyal client base. In recent years I’ve fine tuned the scope of my photography business to reflect a strong focus on commercial photography, corporate events and portraits. I have also expanded the services I offer to include premium videography and drone photography. And I can provide qualified, trusted extra photographers when needed for larger assignments. Key strengths include dependability, a comprehensive understanding of lighting techniques, and practical problem solving. I like a challenge.

A healthy obsession with photography means I am constantly seeking new knowledge and keeping up with emerging technologies and innovations in equipment. I reinvest a significant proportion of my income in these areas to improve my services and results, and the benefits flow to my clients.
My Commitment
I know the importance of getting there early, working swiftly and unobtrusively, respecting dress codes, supplying images to the client fast so media opportunities won’t be lost, helping people to feel at ease in front of the camera, interpreting and keeping to a brief and if necessary taking the initiative to go beyond the brief, and making a shoot work even if circumstances, weather, people or inanimate objects seem to be plotting against it.
Insurance and Assurance
In addition to comprehensive public liability and products liability insurance (Certificate of Currency provided on request), I am also careful to leave nothing to chance, always carrying spare batteries, extra lights, lenses and camera bodies, just in case.
