I engage with everyone in a professional but friendly manner during a shoot to help them feel relaxed and comfortable, which in turn helps to achieve the most authentic results.

When it comes to presentation, I aim to look smart and unobtrusive on all photography assignments. However, I am happy to follow a specific dress code if the client wishes. I like to arrive early to assess the venue and arrange lighting or equipment. Event shoots are quoted on an hourly rate with no additional charge for editing.

We can talk on the phone or meet face-to-face to discuss the brief, the structure of the event, the kind of images you want to capture, timing, location, dress code, sample images and any specific requests you have, so I’m fully aware of your needs and priorities. I provide a written quote based on the brief. On acceptance of the quote, a deposit may be requested.

 

For event, commercial, architectural and conference photography I generally charge on an hourly or daily basis and there are no additional charges for images or editing. Portrait shoots are charged on a per subject per image basis, plus a fixed photographer’s fee which includes portable studio with lighting and backdrop at your office or on location.

 

On the day of the shoot I like to arrive early to assess the location and set up lighting and equipment if needed, then I follow the client’s brief and my own instincts to record key images.

 

For event photography, clients sometimes request a specific dress code and I am always happy to comply, otherwise I aim to look smart and unobtrusive.

 

If you need a few images quickly for social media or a print media deadline, for a small fee a limited number of shots can be edited and delivered to you during or shortly after the event.

 

The full library of final images, in both high and low resolution, will be delivered securely and promptly, usually within 5 to 7 business days of the event.

Once a portrait photography session is over, images are uploaded to a private online gallery for the client to view and select their preferred images. Selected images undergo a vigorous editing process, done by me personally. For any additional editing requests I’m just a phone call away.

 

Clients receive their complete library of fully edited portraits promptly, usually within 5 business days of selection.

 

Corporate lifestyle shots for image library updates are often done in conjunction with website headshot updates.

Can I have my portrait taken at my choice of location?

Yes, you can choose where you would like your portrait to be taken – your professional offices, an outdoor location, even your own home. I have a professional portable studio that I will happily bring to you. Alternatively you can book a studio session. Please contact me to discuss all your specific requirements. Where are you based and how far do you travel?

I’m based in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, QLD. I travel to corporate and individual clients in Brisbane and throughout Queensland. I am also available to travel interstate if required. Do you edit your photos?

Yes, each portrait is enhanced and edited by me personally. I want to ensure my clients get the best out of their images in the most natural way possible. If clients have any additional editing or touch-up requests, I’m just a phone call away. Please call Joseph Byford Photography on 0421 939 989.

What happens after the portrait photography session?

Following the photography session, the client’s images are uploaded to a private online gallery for viewing. Clients select their preferred images, which then undergo a vigorous editing process.
